- Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Contextual Assessment of Informal Settlement Communities in Khan Sen Sok.
Design of the study Objectives:
1. To assess the profile of informal settlement communities, including the history, the number of communities, # of house units, population data (# of households, # of families, # of population, # of females), vulnerable data (PWD, elderly, orphans, and woman-headed families), and geographic location.
2. To measure informal settlement communities' needs and problems or situations - including housing conditions, water, sanitation, waste, health, electricity, tenure security, relocation (compensation), economic, and community security.
3. To suggest recommendations to solve those informal settlement issues effectively. Scope of assessment:
1. Geographic area: The study covers all informal settlement communities in Khan Sen Sok.
There are 9 informal settlement communities (but the consultant will explore more to get the actual number) and 1.197 families.
1. Design assessment framework and methodology: including both quantitative and qualitative data.
2. Lead community data collector group: Form a group of community data collectors and lead this group in gathering data in the field.
3. Report: It will include, but not be limited to, an executive summary, methodology, findings and discussion (overall analysis of Khan Sen Sok and profile of each community), as well as recommendations.
4. Participation in the event: Orientation workshop on the assessment, Data collection training, and dissemination workshop.
Consultant Profile
The Consultant should have combined relevant skills and knowledge, including significant professional, practical experience in the Cambodian context in the design, planning, and implementation of baselines and subsequent documentation. They must have combined extensive experience with previous assessments and or baseline surveys in nature and scope to determine what is required. The shortlisted candidates will be required to submit sample work of their previous assessment baseline.
